History...

The Bull's Head has recently changed hands, as of November 2023. Grace and her team welcome you to join her in celebrating this quintessential community led village pub. Saluting a traditional Northamptonshire village, with the support of the Skittles team, Folk and choir singers, the Clipston shooting club, the tennis Club all with the warmth of three open fires.

The Bull's Head is a traditional village pub in Clipston, dating back to 1627. Clipston is a small quaint village in Northamptonshire, England, just south of Market Harborough, on the southern border of Leicestershire.

When King Charles marched past Clipston on his way to the Battle of Naseby, The Bull's Head had just been built a few years before (He would have been well advised to stop off here and go no further!).

Originally having a thatched roof, The Bull's Head has received many renovations throughout its time, inclusive of the most recent being, the restaurant area being extended in the 80's.

The traditional beams are occupied with coins, placed there by the American airmen during World War II.

The newly refurbished Bulls Head, offers a fine selection of real ales, wines, spirits and draught. Serving homemade foods produced from local ingredients. It also has three newly beautifully decorated rooms, offered at competitive rates. With an abundance of stunning countryside walks on our doorstep.

With such an ample amount of beautiful, ethical produce, found in the fields and gardens nearby, we make sure our kitchen uses local suppliers to produce the freshest wholesome foods.
